Exports of Russian wheat in December may be lower than expected due to a sharp deterioration in weather, lack of wagons for transportation and competition with Ukrainian grain. This was stated by experts interviewed by Kommersant.
According to the Director General of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) Dmitry Rylko, due to a sharp deterioration in the weather in the Sea of Azov and difficulties in the Black Sea, wheat exports may fall below the planned 4.2 million tons in December.
They put pressure on the domestic market, where there are problems with storage due to a record harvest, Rylko explained. According to him, difficulties with shipment can lead to a figure below 4 million tons.
