As of August 17, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were threshed on 6.531 million hectares (or 60% of the planned), of which 28.769 million tons of grain were threshed with a yield of 44 centners per hectare. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
In terms of crops, the dynamics of harvesting is as follows:
wheat - 4.65 million hectares were threshed (100% of the forecast), with a yield of 47.2 centners per hectare, 21.94 million tons were threshed;
barley - threshed 1.484 million hectares (99%), with a yield of 38.9 centners per hectare, 5.766 million tons were threshed.
Also, on the specified date, in some regions of Ukraine, harvesting of peas continues, the gross harvest of which is 385.64 thousand tons with a yield of 25 c/ha. At the same time, the threshed area under the leguminous crop is estimated at 154.02 thousand hectares, which is 3% more than the forecast indicator (150 thousand hectares).
In addition, harvesting of late grain crops of millet and buckwheat continues. In particular, as of August 24, millet was threshed on 8.21 thousand hectares (10% of the forecast), of which 14.42 thousand tons of grain were threshed with a yield of 17.6 centners per hectare. As for buckwheat, it was harvested from 1.98 thousand hectares on the specified date (1% of the forecast). 2.92 thousand tons of grain have been threshed, the yield is estimated at 14.7 q/ha.
As of the reporting date, rapeseed in Ukraine was harvested from 1.389 million hectares (97% of the forecast), 3.985 million tons of oilseeds were harvested with an average yield of 28.7 centners per hectare.
