In early October, sunflower crops in the Abay, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and Kostanay regions of Kazakhstan have reached maturity and are ready for harvesting. According to Kazhydromet's decade report, the condition of the plants is mainly good and in some places even excellent.
According to the data, crops near the meteorological stations Dmitrievka and Urdzhar in the Abay region, as well as Novoakhmirova and Samarka in the East Kazakhstan region, have already been harvested.
In the south of the country, in the Turkestan region, heat-loving crops such as soybeans and cotton continued to ripen. The cotton crop was in the stage of the first boll ripening, while the soybean crop had already begun to be harvested in the vicinity of the Shelek meteorological station in the Almaty region. Here, too, the condition of the plants is reported to be good and excellent.
As noted by Kazhydromet, in the northern part of the country, harvesting of spring cereals continued at this time, and agrometeorological conditions were favorable.
The harvesting of winter wheat continued in the southeast of the country, in the Almaty and Zhambyl regions. Germination of grain was noted in the vicinity of the Uzynagash meteorological station in the Almaty region, while the first seedlings were already observed near the Kordai agro station in the Zhambyl region.
