In the Astrakhan region, full-cycle rice processing plants are being leveled, informed the President of the Astrakhan region, Igor Babushkin, in his Telegram channel.

The head of the region noted that rice is ripening in the territories of the Chernoyarsky district. This will be the beginning of the agro-industrial complex "Resource." This year, 1,000 hectares have been allocated for sowing. The harvest will begin in September.

"At the moment, the enterprise is building a grain storage warehouse. In the future, two rice processing plants will be constructed. Large-scale work will lead to an increase in sowing areas to 27,000 hectares. The investment project is designed for 14 years, with a cost of over 14 billion rubles. This will provide the region with additional tax revenues and create nearly a thousand new jobs," shared Babushkin.
