It is known that Demetra Trading, a division of Demetra-Holding, has completed a deal to acquire the grain elevator complex "Our Union" in the settlement of Verkhovye, located in the Oryol region. This information became public thanks to the company's press release.
The Oryol region is an important grain producer in Russia, with great prospects for increased crop yields. The purchase of a facility in such a promising region aligns with Demetra Trading's strategy for expanding its elevator network. The company plans to invest in modernizing the facility to enhance its competitiveness, increase processing capacity, and develop flour production, as stated by Roman Kron, the executive director of Demetra Trading.
Further information indicates that the "Our Union" elevator includes 10 silos for long-term storage, each with a capacity of 50,000 tons, as well as 10 operational silos with a volume of 450 tons each. Additionally, the complex is equipped with drying and cleaning equipment, has two grain intake lines from trucks, and a loading point for railway transport. Furthermore, the facility includes a milling complex capable of processing up to 150 tons of grain per day.
In the near future, Demetra Trading plans to modernize the railway infrastructure to increase the capacity for shipping products by rail. This will enable efficient dispatch of train formations.
