Russia increased exports of vegetable oils to China by 20% in the first quarter of 2024.

By the beginning of 2024, the export of vegetable oils from Russia to China increased by 18.2% to 578.3 thousand tonnes. Russia supplies sunflower, soybean, and rapeseed oils to China, accounting for more than half (58.4%) of all imported oils.

In the first quarter of 2024, deliveries increased by almost 20% compared to the previous year.

According to the report of the Federal Center "Agroexport", from January to March of the current year, Russia exported 578.3 thousand tons of vegetable oils to China, which represents an 18.2% increase compared to the same period last year. These data were provided by the Main Customs Administration of the PRC. The main exports are sunflower, soybean, and rapeseed food oils. According to the report, Russia is the supplier of more than half (58.4%) of all imported specified types of oils in China.
