In accordance with the requirements of the Protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Russian peas exported from Russia to China, signed with the Chinese side in October 2022, the formation of the export batch was carried out from manufacturing enterprises and storage facilities inspected by the Rosselkhoznadzor and approved by the GTU of the PRC, ensuring full traceability of the movement of products starting from the place of cultivation.
In total, since the beginning of 2023, according to the FSIS Argus-Fito, 150 thousand tons of peas have been shipped from Russia to China, grown mainly in the Siberian Federal District.
Thus, the shipment of this batch of peas grown in the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts showed the high quality of the product and its full compliance with the requirements of the PRC, which will further help unlock the potential of the main grain-producing regions of the South of Russia for shipments to the Chinese market.
