The Russian Federation in the last agricultural year (July 2022-June 2023) exported a record 60 million tons of grain, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev told reporters at the All-Russian Field Day exhibition in Kazan on Friday.
“In the 2022-2023 agricultural season, we exported an absolutely unprecedented, record-breaking amount of grain - 60 million tons. The bulk of this grain, of course, went to friendly countries. Well, this allowed us to seriously increase our export earnings. us amounted to more than $41 billion in 2022," Patrushev said.
In the 2021/2022 agricultural year, the Russian Federation exported 38.1 million tons of grain, including 30.7 million tons of wheat.
This agricultural year (started on July 1, 2023), the Ministry of Agriculture estimates grain exports at 50-55 million tons.
