"The first shipment of sunflower oil to Iran via flexitanks: a new stage of cooperation between Russia and Iran"

Companies "Evropak" and "TransLes" have delivered 200 tons of sunflower oil to Iran via the North-South International Transport Corridor. Employees equipped containers with flexitanks and carried out the loading in the Lipetsk region.

The shipment passed through Turkmenistan by road transport. The general director of "Evropak" plans to increase container shipments to Iran.

The companies "Europack" and "TransLes", part of the "Demetra-Holding" group, successfully organized the delivery of sunflower oil in flexitanks to Iran through the MTK "North-South". The shipment volume was 200 tons.

"TransLes" provided the containers, while specialists from "Europack" equipped them with flexitanks and managed the oil loading directly at the production site in the Lipetsk region.

The products were shipped to Iran from the Lipetsk region via the eastern branch of the MTK "North-South", passing through the stations Selyatino and Akyayla of the Turkmenistan railway station. Then the oil was delivered by road transport to the final recipient.

Ludwig Tarkhanyan, General Director of GC "Europack":

"This is the first experience of transporting vegetable oils in flexitanks to Iran for our company. Iran is one of the main buyers of Russian oil and fat products and in 2023 purchased over 500 thousand tons of sunflower oil. We are confident that the share of container shipments in this direction will only grow. The company's plans include organizing container trains from various regions of Russia to Iran along both branches of the MTK "North-South".
