The grain harvest in the Omsk region: achievements and prospects.

Farmers in the Omsk region have harvested crops on 96.5% of the area of grain crops and on 73.5% of oilseeds. The total grain harvest is 363.3 thousand tons.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the region emphasized the successful completion of the harvest campaign, favorable weather conditions, and soil preparation for the new season. The districts have provided livestock feed for the winter with 872.4 thousand tons of hay, 1 million tons of silage, and 796.8 thousand tons of silage.

Farmers have successfully harvested crops and prepared feed for animals. As of today, the grain harvest in the Omsk region amounted to 3.8 thousand tons. Grain crops were harvested on an area of 1.9 million hectares, which is 96.5% of the planned amount. Oilseed crops were harvested on an area of 306 thousand hectares, which is 73.5% of the planned amount. The total grain harvest amounted to 363.3 thousand tons.

The data was presented at a meeting of the operational headquarters for the harvesting campaign, where the head of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Omsk region, Nikolay Drofa, shared this information. In addition, the minister noted that favorable weather conditions in the region continue to persist, so it is important to carry out necessary measures to prepare the soil for the next season.

Several districts have already completed the harvest of grain crops and legumes. Sufficient amount of grass has also been mowed from the fields to provide feed for livestock during winter: 872.4 thousand tons of hay, 1 million tons of silage, and 796.8 thousand tons of silage.
