Perm Krai is doubling the production volumes of vegetable oil and increasing the amount of cheese by 80%.

Agriculture is one of the main sectors of the region's agro-industrial complex. Key crops include cereals, potatoes, vegetables, and fodder crops. Special attention should be paid to the fact that more than half of the total land area in the region is allocated for fodder crops, which are widely used in livestock farming. Harvesting begins in the second half of August.

The food and processing industry also stands out with positive dynamics. Last year, vegetable oil production doubled, and the quantity of cheese increased by 80%. In 2024, there is also noted growth in the production of canned fruits and vegetables, cereals, confectionery products, cheeses, vegetable oils, flour, and meat semi-finished products.

Government support plays an important role in agribusiness. This year, more than 1.3 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for the development of the region's agro-industrial complex, matching the level of the previous year.

Oksana Lut emphasized the need to establish effective cooperation with both existing agricultural producers and investors planning to implement new projects in the region.

The head of the region noted that special attention is given to supporting the investment activity of enterprises in the agro-industrial complex.

In the Perm Krai, up to 30% of capital costs for the construction of dairy farms, poultry, and pig complexes are subsidized from regional funds.

Last year, 40 enterprises took advantage of these measures, receiving support totaling 427 million rubles. This led to the creation and reconstruction of over 7300 livestock farming places, as well as an increase in processing and storage capacities for 13 thousand tons of grain.

Comprehensive development of rural areas is receiving special attention. This year, 432 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes within the corresponding state program. Oksana Lut and Dmitry Makhonin discussed key projects and tasks aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas.
