Egypt has purchased 6 batches of wheat at a GASC auction, including 5 batches of Russian wheat. The price reached $265 per ton with deferred payment and delivery in March.
The share of Russian wheat purchases in Egypt reached 66% in the 2023/2024 season, increasing by 11.5%.

The United States Department of Agriculture has forecasted wheat production in Russia at 81.5 million tons, while increasing carryover stocks. The wheat export forecast has been reduced to 46 million tons. Corn production has been raised to 13.25 million tons, while feed grains have been lowered to 33.97 million tons. All forecasts exclude Crimea.
Prices for wheat have dropped on the world markets: in Chicago by 3.42%, in Kansas by 3.50%, in Minneapolis by 2.47%. Prices for corn and rice have also fallen. In Russia, more spring crops have been sown, rice exports are banned, and restrictions on wheat imports from Kazakhstan have been lifted.
