Farmers are expanding the areas under these crops.

In Primorsky Krai, there are 81 Chinese agribusinesses operating, occupying up to 20% of arable land. Authorities expressed hope for further cooperation with Chinese partners at a forum in Shenyang. Investments in rice production and a grain processing plant have been proposed.
