Harvesting of winter cereals in the Moscow region: more than half of the crops have already been harvested, with over 120 thousand tons of wheat collected.

In the Moscow region, the harvest of winter grains has begun. More than half of the wheat crops, covering 45.5 thousand hectares, have already been harvested. The total sown area is 81 thousand hectares, with a yield of 36.8 quintals per hectare. Zaraysk, Luhovitsy, and Serebryanye Prudy are leading in terms of harvesting area. In total, 120 thousand tons of wheat have been harvested in the region.

Agricultural companies in the Moscow region have started harvesting winter grain crops. Harvesting is currently taking place in 36 districts of the region, according to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.

"This year, the total sown area is more than 81 thousand hectares. More than half has already been harvested - 45.5 thousand hectares, the volume of winter wheat harvest is more than 120 thousand tons. The productivity is 36.8 centners per hectare," the report says.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region notes that the first to start harvesting winter wheat were the enterprises of Likhvinitsky district - 8.6 thousand hectares of fields harvested; Zaraisky district - 5.9 thousand hectares of fields harvested; Silver Ponds - 5.2 thousand hectares of fields harvested; Lotoshino - 3.1 thousand hectares of fields harvested.

The largest harvesting areas were found in Zaraisk - 16 thousand hectares, Likhvinitsy - 11.7 thousand hectares, Silver Ponds - 11 thousand hectares, as well as in Stupino and Kashira - 5 thousand hectares each.
