The launch of French fries production at the "Grand Fries" plant, which is a joint project of the company "Miratorg" and the fast food chain "Delicious - Period", is planned for the second half of 2026. The construction of the plant started in 2023 and has already reached a certain stage of development. As a result of a meeting between the company's executives and the Governor of the Oryol Region, Andrey Clychkov, it was announced that specialists from various fields will be hired. Perhaps the most important news announced is that in addition to French fries, the plant will also produce potato chips, wedges, and hash browns. High-quality potatoes grown by "Miratorg" will be used as the main raw material.

The CEO of the "Delicious - Period" chain, Oleg Paroyev, emphasized that after the plant is launched, a large part of the potatoes will be supplied from there. He also noted that in recent years, the company has been actively working on developing domestic supplies of products and equipment, and the plant's launch will be an important step in reducing dependence on imported suppliers. This will allow more control and freedom in planning purchases of one of the most popular products in the "Delicious - Period" network. In addition, Paroyev added that the project, implemented jointly with Miratorg, will become one of the largest potato processing plants in Russia and will be able to provide the necessary production volumes at competitive prices not only for the "Delicious - Period" network but also for other HoReCa enterprises.

The Governor of the Oryol Region, Andrey Clychkov, assured of further support for the project from the regional government. He noted that the government will provide the necessary infrastructure, staffing, approvals procedures, and other important aspects. Clychkov emphasized that projects implemented by "Miratorg" in the Oryol Region have contributed to the development of agriculture and helped the region achieve a new level of quality.

According to information from "Miratorg", the agreement to build a joint potato processing plant was signed with the "Delicious - Period" chain at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2023. Initially, the investments in the project were 11.8 billion rubles over two years. However, investors later decided to increase the investment by 5.7 billion rubles to increase the plant's capacity from the planned 100,000 to 120,000 tons of finished products per year. Then, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2024, an agreement was signed with the Oryol Region to increase investments by 1.7 billion rubles and expand capacity to 135,000 tons per year. Currently, the total project cost is estimated at 19.2 billion rubles.
