A significant decision has been made to extend the ban on gasoline exports from Russia until September-October, said Pavel Sorokin, the first deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

During a joint meeting of the State Duma committees on the situation in the oil products market, he noted that an important decision had been made to restrict gasoline exports during September-October in order to provide additional protection. This restriction specifically concerns gasoline.

Sorokin also added that there is no need to impose a ban on diesel fuel exports from Russia; however, efforts will be made to limit the opportunities for its export by non-producers.
