The government has established rules for exporting sunflower seeds from the Zabaykalsky Krai, and the relevant document has been published.
For this region, a basic export duty rate of 6.5% will be introduced until July 31, which is significantly lower than the 50% for exporters across Russia.
The tariff quota for the export of sunflower seeds from Zabaykalsky Krai will be 1,523 tonnes until the end of July. The distribution of the quota will be handled by the head of the region.
The decision taken, as noted in the government resolution, will allow sunflower producers from Zabaykalsky Krai to maintain the profitability of their enterprises, in conditions where there are no opportunities for processing the grown seeds in the region.
