During the conference, a significant Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology named after V. R. Viliams of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
This document, bearing international ecological significance, was signed by two key participants - Mukhtar Babayev, who is the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, and Alexander Belyaev, who holds the position of Director of the Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology named after V. R. Viliams of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, such as Ruslan Eldergeyev, the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation on Climate, and Valery Falkov, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
In accordance with the signed memorandum, active work will continue on joint research aimed at a more thorough study of the forest ecosystems of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the document also confirms the intention to establish a special center, which will serve as a polygon reflecting the importance of the carbon-tropic approach, in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
