The works of both experienced scientists are widely known in Russia, their tremendous contribution to science and agriculture cannot be underestimated. Under the guidance of Professor Ageev, more than 30 candidate and doctoral dissertations were written, and his students are successfully involved in research and head prestigious educational institutions and large agricultural enterprises.
Under the guidance of Professor V.I. Kharechkin, an equal number of candidate and doctoral dissertations were defended. Both scientists paid special attention to the training of young scientific personnel, led in experiments and the implementation of new methods in agricultural processes.
The conference gathered not only participants from the Stavropol Krai, but also from neighboring regions. The dean of the agronomy faculty of the Kabardino-Balkarian State Agrarian University named after V.M. Kokov B.B. Beslanev, a professor of the department of agrochemistry and horticulture of the Gorsky State Agrarian University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences S.Kh. Dzanagov, the deputy head of the soil science department of the Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin, and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences O.A. Podkolzin expressed their congratulations to the jubilarians and words of welcome in a video message to the conference participants.
Deputy Minister E.A. Tambovtseva, who gave a report on the current state of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Krai and the prospects for the development of agriculture, also conveyed congratulations to the jubilarians from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Krai.
The director of the Stavropol branch of the Rosselkhoztsentr O.V. Kuznetsova presented a presentation on the biologicalization of agriculture, talking about the production and practical application of bio-preparations in plant cultivation. She detailed the preparations Alirin-B, G and insect-entomophages such as Trichogramma and Habrobracon.
The results of demonstration experiments over the years and the assessment of the economic efficiency of Rosselkhoztsentr's bio-preparations are presented. Olga Kuznetsova also noted that the products of the Stavropol branch are in demand in neighboring regions.
The director of the Institute of Animal Systematics and Ecology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.V. Glupov presented a report on the relationships between plants and fungi and their role in modern biological crop production, increasing plant resistance to adverse conditions, and crop yield.
“The conference was held in a very productive format, all participants were interested in each other's materials. A gathering of like-minded people who strive in one direction, develop common ideas, and choose the same vector of development. Theory and practice, agriculture supported by science, proven experience and new discoveries – all of these successfully merged at this event, benefiting all participants,” concluded the head of the Stavropol branch of Rosselkhoztsentr Olga Kuznetsova.
