Owners of freight vehicles operating under the rules of the "transport visa" in the countries of the European Union are required to return all their vehicles to Ukraine by July 10 in order to update the necessary documents in accordance with the new requirements. This information was shared on June 24 by Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Sergey Derkach, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
"All trucks must return to Ukraine by July 10 in order to subsequently travel with new documents and mandatory marking," he emphasized.
The deputy minister also added that carriers must have certain key documents to meet the updated agreement requirements. Among them are: a license receipt in English, cargo documents for empty trucks, and vehicle marking.
It is worth reminding that the validity period of the "transport visa" between Ukraine and the European Union, which was due to expire on June 30, 2024, has been extended until June 30, 2025, with the possibility of a further six-month extension, provided that "neither side presents claims based on compelling and specific evidence of market violation."
