In the Tomponsky District, there are 2,644 heads of cattle, 2,440 horses, and 6,749 reindeer. It is necessary to prepare 5,747 tons of hay and 440 tons of silage. Currently, 2,954.8 hectares of hayfields have been harvested and 2,401.2 tons of hay have been prepared, which is 41% of the planned volume. In addition, fodder crops were planted on an area of 597.7 hectares, potatoes on 75.6 hectares, and vegetables on 16.6 hectares. According to Sahayana Afanasyevna, the cultivation of fodder crops in the Tomponsky and Tattinsky uluses has shown good results, with an expected yield of 6-8 tons of green mass per hectare.
In the Tattinsky ulus, Sahayana Pavlova familiarized herself with the work of the "Walba" collective farm, the condition of the crops in the fields, the progress of field work, and also discussed the development of melioration. She was accompanied by the head of the district, Aiyaal Burtsev, agriculture specialists, and melioration management.
Sahayana Pavlova emphasized that the productivity of agricultural animals directly depends on the state of the fodder base on farms. Therefore, farms that have actively used irrigation opportunities should include succulent feed in the animals' diet.
"The strategic directive of the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, includes tasks for 2030: to increase the area of cultivated pastures to 70,000 hectares, including through cultural and technical works, and to increase agricultural production by 1.5 times. The cultivation of leguminous crops and alfalfa will help improve the quality of hay," she noted.
After inspecting the fields, the deputy minister expressed gratitude to the farmers for their excellent work - they have created all the conditions for a decent harvest.
