"Grain yield in the Penza region has reached a historical maximum."

As of the current date, the total collection of winter wheat in the Penza region has reached 1 million 122 thousand tons, while it is expected that the average yield will be 35 centners per hectare. The barley harvest amounted to 200 thousand tons with a yield of 32 centners per hectare.

This year, the region's farmers are expected to harvest grain and leguminous crops from an area of 875 thousand hectares.
