The grain harvest in the Ryazan region started a week earlier. 157 thousand hectares have been threshed, 650 thousand tons of grain have been harvested. 1100 combines are involved, the number could increase to 1500. A record sowing area for 25 years - 1 million 140 thousand hectares. A good harvest is expected.

This year, the grain harvest in the Ryazan region started a week earlier than usual.

Currently, 157 thousand hectares have already been threshed, which is 23% of the total area, and 650 thousand tons of grain have been harvested. The average yield in the region is 41.5 centners per hectare.

During the harvest, 1100 combine harvesters are involved, and this number may increase to 1500 at the peak of the season. Farmers are fully provided with the necessary equipment and fuel.

The most impressive result has been achieved in the Saraevsky district, where 92 thousand tons of grain have been threshed, as well as in the Alexandro-Nevsky and Ryazhsky districts, where respectively 62 and 58 thousand tons have been harvested. The highest grain yield is observed in the Alexandro-Nevsky (49.3 centners/hectare), Saraevsky (47.7 centners/hectare), and Ryazansky (46.0 centners/hectare) districts.

This year, the total sown area in the Ryazan region increased by 1.6% (18.5 thousand hectares) and reached a record level of the quarter-century - 1 million 140 thousand hectares. It is expected that the grain and oilseed harvest will be no worse than last year.
