According to the latest data as of September 10, about 4.7 million hectares of cereals and leguminous crops have already been harvested in Kazakhstan, which represents approximately 28% of the planned volume. According to the Ministry of Agriculture reports, the total grain harvest amounts to about 6.9 million tons, with an average yield at the moment of 14.9 centners per hectare.
According to the information received by September 5, 880.5 thousand tons of grain have been delivered to the country's elevators, of which about 40.1% have moisture content up to 14.5%, and 23.1% have moisture content from 14.6% to 17%. A total of 260.4 thousand tons of grain (29.6%) have been dried and an additional processing of 321.8 thousand tons (36.5%) has been carried out.
Aidar Prashev, the chairman of the board of KazAgroFinance JSC, shared information about a financial instrument developed for financing the purchase of grain dryers at an interest rate of 9% per annum during the harvesting campaign. 6 applications have been received from farmers for a total amount of 260 million tenge. The government subsidizes 30% of the cost of this type of agricultural equipment.
The Ministry of Energy has allocated additional volumes of diesel fuel at preferential prices amounting to 67.7 thousand tons for use in drying units at grain farms in the Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, and East Kazakhstan regions.
