Tula region plans to increase agricultural production to 150 billion rubles by 2026.

There are plans to increase the volume of agricultural sector production in the Tula region to 150 billion rubles by 2026. Investments of at least 3 billion rubles annually will be required. They also intend to increase exports to 15 billion rubles. The region is planning to increase the sowing area and harvest collection. This year, production is expected to grow to 117.6 billion rubles.

According to the information provided by the Interfax news agency, referring to the press service of the regional government and the acting governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, there are plans to increase the annual volume of agricultural sector production in the region to 150 billion rubles by 2026.

Milyaev emphasized that achieving this goal will be possible thanks to attracting at least 3 billion rubles of investments into the industry annually. In addition, it is planned to export goods worth at least 15 billion rubles.

The acting governor instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure an increase in the sowing area to 1 million hectares and the gross grain and leguminous crops harvest to 3 million tons.

This year, an increase in production in the region's agro-industrial complex to 117.6 billion rubles is expected, and in 2023 - to 112.9 billion rubles. The total sowing area is 940 thousand hectares.

Dmitry Milyaev previously stated that this year it is expected to harvest up to 2.3 million tons of grain, up to 2.6 million tons in 2023, up to 500 thousand tons of potatoes, up to 65 thousand tons of vegetables, and up to 425 thousand tons of oilseeds.

Currently, in the Tula region, there are about 15 investment projects in the agro-industrial complex totaling around 80 billion rubles, at various stages of implementation.
