Syngenta introduces biopesticides in Russia until 2027, reducing the use of chemicals
Syngenta, one of the leading manufacturers of chemical plant protection products, announced its plans to develop the production of biological products in Russia. This decision will allow agriculture to reduce the use of pesticides, as well as bring our country to the example of the countries of the European Union.
At the latest round table organized by the National Research University Higher School of Economics and dedicated to the prospects of the market of biological plant protection products and fertilizers in the Russian Federation, representatives of Syngenta shared their plans. They noted that in agriculture there is already a noticeable trend towards reducing the use of chemical plant protection products. The EU countries have already decided to reduce the use of pesticides by 50% over the next five years, as well as transfer 30% of land used for agriculture to organic farming. Moreover, more and more pesticides are being banned in the European Union as hazardous to the environment.
The development of production of biological products from Syngenta in Russia will be an important step towards reducing the use of chemicals and moving to more environmentally friendly alternatives. The biopesticides the company plans to produce will be used in combination with existing pesticides, allowing farmers to effectively protect their crops while minimizing the use of chemicals.
Biological products are safe for the environment and do not have a negative impact on human health. They are based on the use of living microorganisms as well as natural compounds that can effectively control plant pests and diseases. At the same time, they do not accumulate in soil and water, which helps maintain environmental balance.
It is expected that the development of the production of biological products from Syngenta in Russia will help agricultural producers restore soil fertility, reduce the risk of environmental pollution and create favorable conditions for the development of organic farming. This will also allow Russia to reduce the volume of imports of chemical pesticides, which will reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and contribute to the development of national production.
Syngenta is committed to becoming a leader in biological crop protection products, offering farmers and gardeners effective and environmentally friendly solutions. Its intention to develop the production of biological products in Russia until 2027 is a striking example of a responsible approach to solving environmental problems and the desire for sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
