There is a forecast for a drop in temperature in almost all regions of the European part of Russia, with temperatures dropping by around 10 degrees in the south, and in the Urals and the Volga region, a decrease of 3-6 degrees below normal is expected, as reported by Interfax, citing Roman Vilfand, the head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
"A temperature decrease is predicted in all areas of the European part of Russia. In the south, a drop of 8-10 degrees is expected, with temperatures ranging from +29 to +32 degrees across the territory, including Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol, and the lower Volga. This weather is close to normal values," he said.
This temperature change will lead to heavy precipitation in Crimea, Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol, and the North Caucasus regions - heavy rain, wind strengthening up to 22-23 m/s, thunderstorms, and hail.
Vilfand also announced that air masses of northern origin will have the greatest impact on temperatures in the Urals, where cold weather is expected. Starting from July 26, the temperature will barely reach +18 degrees, which is 6 degrees below normal.
In addition, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, and Kurgan regions are expecting heavy rain, thunderstorms, large hail, and wind gusts up to 25 m/s.
Cool weather is also expected in the Volga Federal District - 3-4 degrees below normal, with temperatures around +19 to +24 degrees.
"Complex weather is expected in the southeast of Primorsky Krai, where water will overflow. There have already been heavy rains there, but starting from tomorrow and July 27, heavy rain is expected over most of Primorsky Krai, up to 50 mm of precipitation in less than 12 hours, thunderstorms, and wind. Intense rains will lead to the formation and movement of rapidly developing flash floods with water levels rising to 3 meters," Vilfand said.
