According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture on May 5, spring sowing was carried out on an area of 809 thousand hectares (28% of the plan), of which 527 thousand hectares (53%) are grain crops.
“Agrarians of the Ozinsky municipal district have already completed the sowing of spring grains. Dergachevsky, Gararinsky, Krasnokutsky, Sovetsky, Petrovsky districts are close to completion,” said Igor Gridnev, head of the Department of Crop Production, Technical Policy, GIS Technologies, Land Reclamation and Social Development of the Village of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture.
In addition, by today, the durum wheat sowing plan has been completed by 104%. The highest rates are in SONT "Selkhoztekhnika" of the Ozinsky district, where 300% of the planned areas have been sown.
In general, 181 thousand hectares of wheat, 201 thousand hectares of barley, 24.6 thousand hectares of oats have been sown in the region. Peas were sown on 13.3 thousand hectares, chickpeas - 37.5 thousand hectares, lentils - 43.5 thousand hectares.
Industrial crops are sown on an area of 261.4 thousand hectares, of which 176 thousand hectares are sunflower, 8.1 thousand hectares are sugar beets. Sowing of fodder crops was carried out on an area of 12.6 thousand hectares (18% of the plan). Over the past day, farmers have sown 99.8 thousand hectares.
