The middle Russian bee breed is known for its high productivity during the pollen and nectar collection period, making numerous flights in search of food. In addition, bees of this breed have resistance to many diseases, they can fly even at temperatures down to +4°C. Their honey is of excellent quality, clear, with a rich taste and aroma, very beneficial for the body.
To implement the investment project "Creation and development of the farm of Nikolay Viktorovich Kudryavtsev in the field of beekeeping in the Kostroma municipal district of the Kostroma region," the applicant was granted 4,998.28 thousand rubles. The farmer purchased 50 bee colonies, equipment for honey extraction and storage, a seeder for planting honey-producing plants, drilled a well and arranged it, as well as carried out non-capital construction of premises for honey transfer and storage of beekeeping products and equipment.
The peasant (farm) household has already produced 2.5 hundredweight of honey in 2023, and this year it is planned to produce around 20 hundredweight.
Alongside the honey production development, Nikolay Kudryavtsev actively promotes apitherapy – the use of bees and their products as medicinal remedies. Tourists are offered to relax in an api-dome – a special sleeping house with cots above the hives. While bees are working, one can enjoy the buzzing sound and the aromas of honey and propolis. Sleeping in an api-dome helps to restore strength and fight various diseases.
