According to Rosstat, as of the first of November this year, Russia harvested 124.3 million tons of grain (in bunker weight), which is 16.7 million tons less than last year, in 2023 when 141 million tons were harvested by the same date.
At the same time, the harvested area this year is almost the same as the previous year: by the first of November 2023, grain was harvested from 94.3% of the areas, while this year it's already from 94.7%.
In addition to grain, Rosstat also reported on the harvested volumes of other crops by the first of November. So, by this date, 13.9 million tons of sunflower seeds were harvested (compared to 14.6 million tons last year), 35.5 million tons of sugar beets (compared to 37.5 million tons), 16.9 million tons of potatoes (compared to 19.4 million tons), and 12.4 million tons of vegetables from open and closed ground (compared to 12.6 million tons).
