Market operators report that the General Authority for Food Safety in Saudi Arabia (GFSA) has announced a tender for the purchase of over 595,000 tons of wheat of unspecified origin.
Specifically, the importer seeks to acquire strong wheat with a protein content of at least 12.5%. To achieve this, several batches will be procured, each consisting of 180,000 tons and will be delivered to the ports of Jeddah, Yanbu, and Dammam. Additionally, another batch of 55,000 tons is set to be delivered to the port of Jizan.
The evaluation of the tender results is scheduled for July 1st.
