Currently, agricultural enterprises and farms in this region have sown 66 thousand hectares of land. This includes various grain and leguminous crops such as barley, peas, lentils, wheat, and oats, covering an area of 60 thousand hectares (which is 17% of the total plan). Landowners continue to apply mineral fertilizers for winter crops and perennial grasses. At the moment, in the Ryazan region, fertilizers have already been applied to 277 thousand hectares of winter crop plantings (which is 80% of the plan) and to 18 thousand hectares of perennial grasses (34%). In total, in the Ryazan region in 2024, 335.6 thousand hectares of winter grain crops and 9.3 thousand hectares of oilseed crops were sown. The condition of winter crop plantings is at a satisfactory level.
It is expected that the total sowing area in this region, including winter, spring, and perennial crops, will reach 1 million 130 thousand hectares. This is a record value for the past 25 years and exceeds last year's figures by 2%.
