In Kazakhstan, there is an increase in the cost of sunflower and soybean seeds. Analysts claim that the already high price of sunflower has further risen due to the increase in the cost of oilseeds in Russia against the backdrop of growing demand from oil producers. This information was provided by the APK News agency.
According to the latest weekly report from the research bureau "Grains and Oilseeds. Kazakhstan", it is suggested that the possible increase in the cost of sunflower and soybean seeds is a result of the rising cost of oilseeds. In Kazakhstan, the demand for seeds exceeds supply by more than three times.
Data from the research bureau shows that within a week, the average cost of sunflower in Russia increased by 800 rubles and amounts to 35.4 thousand rubles per ton. In Kazakhstan, the cost of sunflower seeds during this period increased by 6 thousand tenge and currently stands at 171.3 thousand tenge per ton. The price of soybeans has also increased by 10 thousand tenge and amounts to 210 thousand tenge per ton.
Analysts believe that the maximum price of sunflower in the current season could reach 190 thousand tenge, and the price of soybeans could reach 300 thousand tenge. However, these opinions are not final and may change depending on circumstances.
The price of rapeseed remained unchanged at the level of 195 thousand tenge per week. The same price was set for flax.
In the last 7 days, safflower has decreased in price by 10 thousand tenge and now costs 80 thousand tenge per ton. Note that this is the price for the fresh harvest. The price of mustard is 250 thousand tenge per ton, also related to the new harvest.
However, according to the bureau, it is not recommended to sell these crops at the moment, as it is expected that their prices will rise in the future.
