According to Feedlot experts, there is an acceleration in the growth of prices for most feed additives in Russia. For example, over the past week, methionine and valine have increased by 14% in dollar terms, threonine and arginine by 13%, lysine sulfate by 4.5%, and lysine hydrochloride by 1.8%. Some amino acids, on the contrary, have become cheaper: tryptophan dropped by 5.1%, isoleucine by 4.4%, and betaine lost 0.5%. In ruble equivalent, prices behaved similarly, except for betaine, the cost of which, on the contrary, increased by 0.7%.
In the feed vitamins segment, Feedlot experts also noted an increase in prices. Vitamin B4 has risen by 37%, vitamin A1000 by 17%, and its price has increased by 206% in a month. Prices for D3 have increased by 16%, vitamin E50 by 13%, and vitamin B1 by 11%. Biotin, vitamin B5, and B9, on the other hand, have become cheaper. In ruble equivalent, only biotin and B5 have become cheaper. According to Lyubov Savkina, the general director of Feedlot, the rapid price growth in Russia is a consequence of global trends, as feed products have been expensive for a long time.
In China, the situation in the feed additives market remains stable, according to Feedlot analysts. Amino acid manufacturers continue shipments as usual, and consumers adhere to a rational strategy against the backdrop of moderate trading activity. Due to a shortage of supplies, threonine is traded at increased prices, so buyers make purchases on demand, and traders prefer not to replenish stocks. Pessimistic expectations are observed in the methionine segment, demand is low, which has led to a weakening of prices and a decrease in the number of deals. The vitamin market demonstrates moderate demand, the number of transactions remains small, and prices for most positions remain stable.
