During the first half of the 2024/25 season, Russia exported a record amount of wheat - 29.4 million tons, as reported by the analytical center of Rusagrotrans JSC, according to the Interfax news agency.
Experts clarified that in December, grain exports (including EAEU countries) will amount to 3.7 to 3.8 million tons, which is higher than their previous forecast of 3.4-3.5 million tons, but slightly lower than the December figure of the previous year - 4.06 million tons.
"As a result, in the first half of the 2024/25 season, wheat exports will reach a record level of 29.4 million tons, exceeding last year's record of 27.7 million tons," - representatives of the analytical center said.
According to analysts, prices for Russian wheat (with 12.5% protein content) for January deliveries remain unchanged at $235 per ton (FOB). Offer prices range from $240 per ton.
Prices for 4th class wheat with 12.5% protein content in deep-water ports of Russia have increased by 100 rubles and range from 17,800 to 18,200 rubles per ton (excluding VAT). In shallow-water ports, prices have increased by 700 rubles to 16,500 rubles per ton. Last year, in the same period, wheat prices were at 14,100 and 11,950 rubles per ton, respectively.
