A cargo ship in Novorossiysk has loaded 25,000 tons of wheat for shipment to Africa as humanitarian aid. Customs has issued permission to import high-priority goods. Russia is preparing to send between 25,000 and 50,000 tons of grain to six African countries as per the President's statement. Deliveries will start in the coming months.

A sea vessel has docked at the port of Novorossiysk to load 25 thousand tons of wheat. This cargo will be sent to one of the African countries as humanitarian aid, as announced in the Telegram channel belonging to the Federal Customs Service.

The customs officers carried out all the necessary procedures with high priority and allowed the import of the goods, as stated in the official statement.

Earlier, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, announced Russia's readiness to send from 25 to 50 thousand tons of grain to six African countries: Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, the Central African Republic, and Eritrea. In early October, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Patrushev confirmed that shipments of Russian grain to African countries would begin in the next 1-2 months.
