"Russian manufacturers are conquering the market of the Persian Gulf countries at the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai."

The annual international Gulfood exhibition, held in Dubai, is one of the main platforms for presenting products, beverages, and cuisine from the Gulf countries. Around 100 domestic producers of various products, such as dairy, meat, vegetable oil, and fish products, as well as other foodstuffs in high demand abroad, have gathered here. Russia's cooperation in the agricultural sector with Middle Eastern countries is successfully developing, and our country is interested in further expanding trade. The demand for domestic products in Arab states is growing through mutual initiative. Over the past year, the trade volume in food between Russia and the Gulf countries exceeded 1.6 billion dollars, increasing by 1.7 times over the last 5 years. Russia is steadily increasing exports of grain, vegetable oils, confectionery, meat, milk, and other products. An important export direction is becoming halal products, the production of which has been increasing in recent years. Saudi Arabia remains the main importer of Russian food in the Middle East, but Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar are also increasing their purchases. There is a noticeable growth in exports to the United Arab Emirates, where last year there was a significant increase in the import of Russian grain, especially wheat, as well as high-quality products like sunflower oil. There is significant potential for meat and dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages, and ready-made products. Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev notes that Russia will continue to strengthen relations with the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the region, remaining a reliable supplier of quality products.
