Russian wheat is making a comeback in the Malaysian market with high demand.

In Malaysia, supplies of Russian wheat have been resumed after a three-year break. This is due to its high quality, reasonable price, and demand in the region. Russian products successfully compete in external markets, including Malaysia. Purchases of wheat have increased for the first time in three years.

Resumption of Russian wheat exports to Malaysia after a three-year hiatus is attributed to the excellent quality of the product and reasonable cost, as well as high demand in the region, stated the trade representative of the Russian Federation in Malaysia, Nikita Ponomarenko, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to a preliminary report from the analytical center "Rusagrotrans" published recently, Malaysian purchases of Russian wheat have resumed for the first time in three years.

"Russian produce is distinguished by its premium quality, environmental safety, and moderate price, which contributes to its successful competition in external markets, including Malaysia," Ponomarenko noted.

He mentioned that the Southeast Asia region produces a relatively small volume of grain products, while Malaysia heavily relies on grain imports both in livestock farming and food production.
