Employees of the department in the Grachevsky district of the respective department of the Stavropol branch of Rosselkhoztsentr have completed the inspection of seed material. During the work, 14,235 tons of seeds were checked, and all of them meet the requirements of the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
Parallel to the quality control of seeding material, phytosanitary expertise was carried out to identify pathogens.
A total of 8,170 tons were inspected, which significantly exceeds the indicators of the same period a year ago (in 2023, this figure was 6,300 tons). Due to the prolonged dryness this year, infectious agents are almost absent, as their development is facilitated by high humidity and low temperatures.
While some employees are involved in seed inspection, others regularly go to the fields to observe the winter rapeseed sowings.
In most regions of Stavropol, the sowing of this moisture-demanding crop was carried out in the absence of rainfall, which has a negative impact on the condition of the shoots. On an area of 4,608 hectares, seedlings can only be sporadically found, but the meteorologists' forecast gives us hope for rain, which can improve the situation.
Experts from the Grachevsky district department of the Stavropol branch of Rosselkhoztsentr continue to monitor voles and report that the current situation is not a cause for concern: pests have been found in limited quantities only in pastures and forest belts.
