In July 2024, almost normal levels of humidity are expected in Kazakhstan, but the area susceptible to atmospheric drought is expanding. This information is reported by Kazhydromet.
According to forecasts, atmospheric drought is expected in the following regions:
- in the Kostanay region in the Amangel'din and Zhangeldin districts;
- in the Aytekebi district, in the Baigany, Yuil, Khromtau, and Shalkar districts of the Aktobe region;
- in the Shet district of the Karaganda region;
- in the Ulytau and Zhanaarkyn districts of the Ulytau region;
- in the Balkhash and Zhambyl districts of the Almaty region;
- in the Moyynkum, Zhualinsk, and T. Ryskulov districts of the Zhambyl region;
- in the Arys, Suzak, Kazigurt, Turkestan, Otrar, and Baydibek districts of the Turkestan region;
- in the Aralsk, Kazaly, Karmakshy, Shieli districts of the Kyzylorda region;
- in the Beineu, Mangystau, and Karakiya districts of the Mangystau region;
- over most of the territory of the Atyrau region.
Moderately humid conditions are expected in July in the Tainshin district of the North Kazakhstan region, in the Sandyktau, Burabay, and Akmolinsky regions of the Akmola region, as well as in the city of Stepnogorsk.
For the rest of the territory of Kazakhstan, moisture conditions will be approximately normal for this month.
