This year in the Republic of Buryatia, it is planned to allocate 3.2 thousand hectares for technical and oilseed crops - rapeseed and flax. As reported by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Galsan Dareev, the growth of crops this year compared to last year has increased by 20 times. This was noted by the information agency "Vostok-Teleinform".
Rapeseed cultivation will be carried out in several districts, including Jidinsky, Mukhorshibirsky, Bichursky, Tarbagataevsky, and Zaigraevsky districts.
The Minister commented on the growth of oilseed crops: "Oilseed crops are highly profitable. For example, if the price of one ton of wheat is 12 thousand rubles, then a ton of rapeseed costs 30 thousand rubles, and these are autumn prices. Today, the price of a ton of rapeseed can already reach 36 thousand rubles".
This direction also has great prospects, as a plant for processing rapeseed and flax seeds has been built and launched in Buryatia.
Galsan Dareev noted: "Production is already underway there, so our agricultural producers have a guaranteed market for high-margin crops".
It is worth reminding that the construction of the first stage of a production complex for processing oilseed crops has been completed in the settlement of Medvedchikovo. The investments in the project amounted to more than 200 million rubles, warehouses for raw material storage were built during the construction, modern equipment for oil pressing was installed, necessary machinery was purchased, and the adjacent territory was landscaped.
In March, the first batch of rapeseed and linseed oils was already produced at the plant. The project is carried out by LLC "Alliance Plus", which involves experienced plant breeders-farmers with experience in growing oilseed crops.
