The wheat harvest forecast in Russia has decreased to 82.5 million tons due to poor crop yields in the central region and the Volga region.

The forecast for wheat harvest in Russia has been revised to 82.5 million tons, which is lower than the previous forecast of 83.3 million tons.

Low yield is expected in the central regions and the Volga region, while good results are anticipated in Siberia and the Urals.

Producers are expected to successfully harvest the crop on time.

The news agency "Interfax" reports the third adjustment of the wheat harvest forecast in Russia by the "SovEcon" company in the last month.

According to the new estimates, the harvest is expected to reach 82.5 million tons, slightly lower than the previous forecast of 83.3 million tons made ten days ago. By the beginning of August, the forecast had already been reduced to 82.9 million tons from 84.7 million tons.

The reason for the forecast reduction was the lower yield of spring wheat in some regions of central Russia and the Volga region.

As a result, the harvest forecast was reduced by 0.4 million tons in the central regions and by 0.3 million tons in the Volga region.

Nevertheless, good prospects remain in Siberia and the Urals, where initial yield data confirm positive results. Despite problems related to delayed harvesting due to rainy weather, agricultural producers still have the opportunity to complete the harvest on time.
