Mikhail Mishustin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, proposed to the State Duma to approve Oksana Lut as the head of the Ministry of Agriculture as the First Deputy.
Lut's candidacy was presented for the chamber's consideration.
Boris Belyakov, the Prime Minister's press secretary, claims that Lut has the necessary knowledge and competencies for effective work in this responsible position.
Lut became a deputy to Patrushev, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, alongside him in 2018, and in 2021, she was appointed as the first deputy minister.
She previously worked at Rosselkhozbank, also as an employee of Alfa-Bank, VTB, and the state corporation "Rostec" (now Rostec).
Viktoriya Abramchenko, the Deputy Prime Minister, will be replaced in the position by Dmitry Patrushev as the Minister of Agriculture, who will also oversee the agricultural, agro-industrial complex, and environmental sectors.
