The CEO of the company "NPSP Vozrozhdenie" Mustabshaykh Sadykov shared joyful news about the interest of scientists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding, located in the Stavropol Krai, in the work done on his farm. Recently, the director of the institute, Alexander Surov, and his colleagues Aslan Omarov and Ruslan Korabeynikov visited our farm.
Confirming the noticeable growth of interest in dairy sheep breeding around the world, Alexander Surov stated that there is an increase in sheep milk production in Russia as well. He noted that dairy sheep are becoming increasingly in demand and praised our work in breeding sheep of the Lacaune and East Friesian breeds.
During the visit, Alexander Surov inspected the Lacaune sheep bred on our farm and gave a professional assessment of the crossbreeds obtained from the crossing with the Dagestani mountain sheep.
He emphasized that Lacaune sheep are among the most productive dairy breeds in the world and are capable of producing over 400 liters of milk per lactation. Alexander Surov noted that Lacaune sheep milk is rich in protein, fat, and essential amino acids.
Mustabshaykh Sadykov, the head of our farm, shared his experience of breeding purebred Lacaune sheep with Alexander Surov. He mentioned that some animals reach a milk productivity of 3 liters per day.

The scientists conducted instrumental evaluation of animals of different genotypes and udders, as well as took milk and blood samples for laboratory research. The leadership of the research institute plans to collaborate with our farm on breeding, improving, and increasing the dairy sheep population in the North Caucasus Federal District.
