According to official reports, starting from January 1, 2025, the government has established permanent export duties on certain types of leguminous crops, which will amount to 5% of their value when passing through customs informed the Cabinet.

“The new rules apply to the export of peas, chickpeas, and lentils. The export duty rate will be 5% of the customs value,” the official statement says.

Until the end of 2024, flexible export duties ranging from 4 to 7% depending on the ruble exchange rate were applied when exporting leguminous crops.

Now, customs duties on the export of certain types of leguminous crops from Russia outside the Eurasian Economic Union will be applied on a permanent basis. The government believes that this decision will help rationalize the balance between the export of leguminous crops and their consumption in the domestic market.
