Conab tracking data indicates that in Brazil, as of September 22, 16% of the planned areas for planting the first crop of corn have been completed, surpassing last year's figure (13%).
It is worth noting that after rain in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, planting activities have accelerated, and precipitation has increased soil moisture in Paraná.
In addition, soybean planting has begun in the country, but currently the planted areas account for less than 1% of the planned areas (2% last year).
The wheat harvest for the 2024/25 season has been completed on 25% of the planned areas (29% last year). The planted areas are generally in good condition, despite reports of cases of fungal diseases.
