The planned spring sowing area in the Tyumen region is 1,033,900 hectares. This is 2,200 hectares more than last year. This information was provided by the deputy governor of the Tyumen region and the director of the department of agriculture and food industry Vladimir Cheymetov at a press conference held on March 19. Vladimir Cheymetov mentioned that the structure of potato and vegetable sowing areas remained approximately the same as last year. About 7,700 hectares are allocated for potatoes, and 983 hectares for open ground vegetables. Additionally, an extra 3,000 hectares were allocated for sowing technical crops such as rapeseed and flax. In the Iset district, sunflower cultivation has been ongoing for several years. Starting from small hectares, now more than 500 hectares are designated for this crop. It is expected that these efforts will lead to success and benefit agricultural producers. The area for sowing fodder crops for livestock remained at about the same level. It is worth noting that an investor has appeared in the Kazan district who plans to build a plant for producing feed from alfalfa. Approximately 5.5 billion rubles are expected to be invested in the development of this project.
