The company named "Otan Astygy" is investing 5.3 billion tenge in the construction of an oil extraction complex in the Kostanay region in Kazakhstan. The implementation of the investment project called "Construction of an oil extraction complex" is planned in the Zhangeldy district.
According to the presentation presented at the akimat's office, its cost reaches 5 billion 300 million tenge. Out of this amount, 4 billion 700 million tenge are provided through credit funds, and 600 million tenge are from own funds.
Meanwhile, according to information provided in the Kostanay region akimat, the head of the district reported that, in accordance with the instructions of the regional leadership, work has been carried out to reduce costs by a total of 300 million tenge. In addition, the investor's own contribution has been increased from 600 million tenge to 1.8 billion tenge. The share attracted from the Tobol agro-industrial complex has been reduced to 3.5 billion tenge. The planned capacity of the plant will be 22 thousand tons of oil from sunflower and safflower per year, as well as 32.8 thousand tons of meal. The productivity is 150 tons of raw materials per day.
“At the moment, the project initiator has obtained a 14-hectare land plot through the Unified Industrialization Map. At the same time, project documentation is being developed with a planned completion by the end of the current October,” - specified the head of the district.
The launch of the new production is scheduled for December 2026.
