The volume of wheat imports to Armenia decreased by 13% in the first months of 2024, reaching 297.3 thousand tons.

At the beginning of 2024, wheat imports to Armenia decreased by 13% to 297.3 thousand tons, costing $57.28 million. The volumes of barley and maize imports also decreased compared to the previous year.

At the beginning of 2024, based on data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, it can be noticed that the volume of wheat import into the country decreased in natural terms to 297.3 thousand tons, which is 13% less than for the same period in the previous year. In value terms, wheat imports decreased by 9% to 57.28 million dollars.

Additionally, it is worth noting that the volume of barley imports amounted to 47.8 thousand tons (compared to 59.1 thousand tons in January-November 2023), and the volume of corn imports was 61.4 thousand tons (compared to 69.3 thousand tons).
