The dairy plant in Essoyla has launched a new packaging line for butter and installed equipment for sour cream production. Soon, butter and cottage cheese will reappear in stores, with cottage cheese being packaged using film to prevent leaking. Thanks to the new homogenizer, sour cream will be available for sale. In addition, specialists are already working on developing yogurt recipes with Karelian berries.
Essoyla's stores now offer a new product - cakes containing 40% cottage cheese. "We collaborated with a local bakery and organized the production of cottage cheese cakes, which are made from our cottage cheese and baked at the bakery," said Ivan Kuznetsov, Deputy Director of Production at Essoyla JSC.
It is planned to process 6 tons of milk per day by May, and processing volumes will gradually increase.
Work continues on the restoration of the calving department at the farm, where it is planned to introduce 115 Ayrshire breed heifers, which will form the basis of the dairy herd.
"We have enough farm machinery. In May, we will start the forage harvesting process. Right now, we are selecting machine operators. This year, we plan to prepare silage from perennial grasses, plow the fields, apply manure, and next year sow high-yielding crops, including corn," said the head of the Megrega Breeding and Dairy Farming Enterprise, Yevgeny Sysolyatin, about the plans.
"A modern dairy cluster with new production approaches is being revived in Essoyla before our eyes. We understand that the state plant is just beginning its journey, and it is important that it is developing, exceeding the planned timelines," noted the regional director, Arthur Parfenchikov.
